Welp #2 (Microblog)

Alright here's another good ol' Microblog.

Today, we're gonna look at my thoughts after reading a good amount.

I think there was a lot more revealed about the text after reading further (that tends to happen).

I saw the line "war is peace" repeated a lot throughout the first half, kinda emphasizing on the whole deal with propaganda and why it can Help the nations do the Bad things.

We see more aspects of society come into play, where the important coming of age and having intercourse is controlled as the good rules of common decency dictate, except this time you marry someone you probably don't like and then are made to 'undergo intercourse' for the sole purpose of reproduction. Additionally, your partner may or may not be gay. Oops?

That has to be kept a secret because it's not accepted. Too bad.

Another thing that perked my interest was when the main character encounters a young girl who has fallen down. His initial thoughts are fear - He thinks she might be an agent or a spy.

After helping her up, he watches her drop a piece of paper and walk away. He is too scared to pick it up because he thinks if it has instructions to harm himself written on it, he has to follow them.

This was eye-opening because he chose to live in ignorance and be spared from the consequences of looking into it. This is a choice many people currently would not take, but these people have been mentally trained to be scared and not take risks.

So remember kids - Next time you see a stranger drop something, don't pick it up or it WILL lead to your demise.

Peace out!
